Kayaking Stevens Creek South Carolina

October 2018

Stevens Creek public park

My friend and I really didn’t take any sort of path. It’s kayaking, so make your own way. We paddled around for about an hour before turning back.

During this time, I was living in a cabin on the lake. Probably one of the most relaxing places I’ve ever lived. Who doesn’t want to wake up to such a large Creek everyday.

The water is not that impressive, it’s muddy and looks like chocolate milk. We did see turtles, birds and trees dripping in Spanish moss. The reeds along the bank, sang in the wind.

Also, it’s nicer to kayak in October in the south. The heat is not as oppressive.
