Camping Kauai Hawaii

I šŸ’ž Kauai

If you’re on a tight budget camping is the way to go in Kauai or Hawaii for that matter.

September 2017

County of Kauai

BLM or Bureau of Land Management. $5 per night US currency.

State parks are $15 per night.

Below I put pictures of Anini beach, Salt Pond state park and Haena Beach.

Anini and Haena Beach are BLM land and are $5 per night. Salt Pond is a state park and is $15 a night.

All of these have cold water showers, running toilets and ocean views. Salt Pond was my least favorite. The views of the ocean we’re gorgeous but the views of the Salt Pond drug it down a bit. It also has a large amount of chickens that will wake you up every morning.

Anini Beach is the quiet beach. It is perfect for snorkeling and strolling along in the sand. Haena on the other hand is crashing waves and rolling surf. It’s something else to fall asleep to.

You can bring your own gear or you can rent it.
